Papa Time

One papa, five children, and the talks they have together.

Tonight Truxton and Papa discuss the minotaur, Tasmanian tigers, dangerous explorations and Bigfoot.

Everyone in our family is a big fan of Hank the Cowdog (LINK HERE). The kids love both the books and the audio, but the narrator for the audio is pretty great.

By the way, the links we share in our show notes are generally our affiliate links. We promise not to link up to something that we don't actually use and love. If you do use our affiliate link, there's no additional cost to you, and Amazon gives us a bit off the top which helps negate the costs of hosting a podcast.

Here is the video that Truxton mentioned of a Tasmanian tiger (Thylacine). It was taken in 1933 at Hobart Zoo in Australia.

Tonight Papa is chatting with Sophie.

You may notice that several of our kids have asked a "Would You Rather" question. These are generally inspired by a card game that we keep in the car. It provides endless entertainment for road trips of any length along with lots of very silly conversation. Check it out using our affiliate link { Would You Rather } - it's perfect for summer road trips!

Sophie made us an entire gallon of Perfect Iced Coffee the other day. She used Pioneer Woman's recipe, so you know it was good. We use Better Stevia Extract at our house. It isn't the least bit bitter.

This boy turned eight years old today! We spent the day relaxing and celebrating, so this episode is making its way to the airwaves a bit later than we would like. But better late than never! We must apoplogize for the shuffling and thumping around. Eight year old boys cannot sit still.

It turns out that Sophie is also a big fan of the Genevieve Foster books. She is reading and enjoying "George Washington's World."  One of her all time favorite school books is "The Men Who Found America."

This is the accordian that we own and love. And this is Uncle Jacob. Did we miss anything?

This evening Kinsley and I are talking about some heavy things, such as wars, used cars, hair loss, vandalism, and grammar.

The books she mentions enjoying are by Genevieve Foster. She is currently reading "Abraham Lincoln's World" but she has previously enjoyed "George Washington's World,"  and is looking forward to reading "Augustus Caesar's World" soon. Genevieve Foster has also written "The World of Columbus and Sons," "The World of Captain John Smith" and "The World of William Penn."

She is also reading and enjoying "The Politically Incorect Guide to The Civil War."

Tonight we talk with Sophie, age 10. The sound quality of this podcast is not what we would like to hear, and we apologize. We're very much still learning to use the equipment. We should be back to a better sound next week!
